Code Number: UORV01P10_14 Title: Radio Dish Antenna, VLA
Notes: This radio observatory consists of 27 radio antennas on rails in a Y-shaped configuration. The position of this array can vary and the data from the 27 antennas is combined electronically providing a resolution much greater than would be physically possible in one antenna. The resolution is predicated on the arrangement of the dishes in relationship to each other. The maximum separation can be up to 36 km.
