About this snake:
Mambas belong to a group of venemous snakes called elapids.
This short fanged group of snakes includes the Coral Snake of
North America and the Cobras.
The bite and venom of the Western Green Mamba can be rapidly
fatal (possibly as early as 30 minutes).
The green Mamba is difficult to see in green foliage as its
fishnet markings closely resemble the foliage of its habitat.
It is fast moving despite its size which can be up to 2 meters
in length.
